Our Experience

Communication matters.
So does experience.

MarketPoint works with a wide range of clients across a variety of industries. Some are well-established leaders in their industry, some are innovators, some are growth-oriented startups. Each experience offers us the opportunity to enrich our depth of knowledge and gain new perspectives. In turn, we bring insights, experiences, and best practices from multiple industries to your specific challenge – creatively and effectively positioning your organization for growth.

The following examples provide a glimpse into our experience.

STUDIOS Architecture

Seventeen years of marketing, communications, and culture advisory. Projects include recommitting and refining the firm’s vision, values and purpose, conducting market research, brand and message development, presentation training, strategic leadership workshops, and facilitating the transition of leadership to the next generation of owners.

MarketPoint has been a great partner for STUDIOS: taking the time to understand us, helping us get closer to our clients, providing invaluable market research and intelligence, positioning us to penetrate new markets and facilitate growth, pushing us to improve our communications strategy…and all while working with multiple constituencies in our New York, Washington DC, San Francisco and Paris offices. It’s tough to meet our expectations at STUDIOS, but their commitment and attention to detail has earned our respect since 2007.

The folks at MarketPoint (and Laura Pasternak, specifically) have developed into more than an outside consultant. They demonstrate a strong knowledge of branding, sales, and client retention, and a growing understanding of our business. They’re the trusted professionals we turn to for guidance and expertise.

WPM Real Estate Management

Working with leaders across the organization on communications, culture and marketing strategy since 2011. Services include a brand assessment, market research, developing a brand compass, positioning, message development, divisional communications strategy, employee engagement, external client communications, market expansion, leadership communication and transition.

Mercy Medical Center

Building a brand culture that reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence and compassionate care and strengthens employee engagement across all locations across the region. Services include refining the organization’s brand position and values, developing a brand ambassador training program, ongoing training for all new employees and existing staff, consulting and continued management support.

I enjoyed the engagement, the enthusiasm, the compassion, and presentation from our presenters. They made sure we had a full understanding of our brand and not only what is expected of us, but also how we are perceived from the patient’s view - which is why first impressions are very important.

MarketPoint brings a combination of knowledge and perspective; they advise based on research; they listen, communicate and collaborate. They educate as they advise but also listen carefully to me and to my internal clients and stakeholders. They are true partners who have gained the respect of our alumni, faculty, institutional leaders, students, and employers.

UMBC

Provided market research, brand assessments, messaging, and communication strategy for multiple divisions and departments across the university, including the Graduate School, Career Center, Student Affairs, Alumni Engagement, and Enrollment Management.

Harford Community College

Worked with leaders across the college over multiple years on market research, communications strategy, message development, strategic planning workshops, team building, and facilitation of community engagement sessions.

From early stakeholder focus groups through final recommendations, MarketPoint’s work has been thorough and extremely professional. Their insight and analysis helped us build a stronger message platform and informs our ongoing communications.

We engaged MarketPoint to do an assessment that we hoped would boost our vocal competitions, but in the process they identified a much bigger opportunity to align our programs under one umbrella, strengthening our overall market position and significantly increasing the impact we’re having on young singers with a passion for vocal arts. I was impressed by their ability to quickly grasp our business model and improve our vocal competitions. Equally impressive was the agility they demonstrated as we pivoted to respond to the coronavirus outbreak, developing a comprehensive virtual competition model.

Schmidt Vocal Arts

Over a four-year period, work focused on assessing perceived untapped potential for programs and identifying opportunities for broader reach and a more robust, national program. Services included market research, facilitated leadership discussions, vision and values development, planning workshops, brand positioning, messaging, external communications, strategic consulting, ongoing guidance and support.
